Buyer Home Inspection

A clear look at the house before you commit.

Comprehensive visual inspection with a documented report, practical explanations, and a clear summary of what needs attention now, what to monitor, and what to discuss with your agent.

What It Covers
What your inspection covers.

A visual inspection of readily accessible systems and components, including roof, exterior, structure, foundation, crawlspace/basement, attic, insulation, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, interiors, doors/windows, fireplace, and built-in kitchen appliances.

Inspections are performed under the NC Home Inspector Licensure Board Standards of Practice and are visual, non-invasive, and not technically exhaustive.

They are not code inspections, engineering evaluations, appraisals, warranties, environmental testing, or determinations of future performance.

Thermal Imaging
Available as a supplemental add-on.
🌡️
Thermal imaging is used as a supplemental screening tool only. It may help identify temperature anomalies, but it does not see through walls, confirm hidden moisture, diagnose mold, verify insulation defects, or confirm electrical defects without further evaluation.

Thermal Imaging is available as a paid add-on when conditions permit.

Specialty Services
When additional testing is requested.

Available through a coordinated licensed specialist, not performed directly by I Do Home Inspections. Common in the Triangle/Piedmont NC area — ask at scheduling.

WDI/termite, sewer scope, septic/well, mold, and similar specialty services are outside the standard North Carolina home inspection. When requested, they may be referred to or coordinated with properly qualified third-party specialists when available.
