ABOUT
I'm the owner and the inspector behind I Do Home Inspections. When you book with me, I'm the one who shows up, inspects your home, and writes your report.
Before inspecting, I spent 5+ years in land development across the Carolinas, with a master's in civil engineering. I designed subdivision layouts, stormwater and drainage systems, and water and sewer lines. That taught me how a home sits on its site and how water moves around it. In North Carolina, water is behind many of the most common and most expensive problems I see.
Then I built my own home. As an owner-builder, I pulled every permit and did nearly all the work myself: clearing the lot, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and siding. I've stood on both sides of an inspection, and I know where shortcuts tend to hide.
Today you get a thorough, unhurried look at the home, a clear photo report in 24–48 hours, and straight answers about what's serious, what's routine, and what can wait. I continue my training through InterNACHI, and every inspection follows the NC Home Inspector Licensure Board Standards of Practice.

MY OWN BUILD
I built my own home as owner-builder — every stage, every permit. Here's what that looked like.
